Some time has passed without the possibility to physically bring the CM Forum network together to discuss CM highs and lows, news, ideas, practices etc. Being able to meet for this purpose has always been highly appreciated among the network participants and we hope to reinstate this function now as we are passed pandemic restrictions.

To keep up with current CM practices and to stay in tune with our CM community, take part of CM Highlights. Each webinar is devoted to a particular CM practitioner that presents CM challenges and ongoing or planned CM development in the organization.

Standard agenda is 20 minutes presentation followed by 20 minutes of reflections, comments and questions.

Welcome to the first event of 2020 that was originally planned to take place in April 2020 at Bombardier’s facilities in Stockholm. Instead we will now arrange it as a webinar. The focus this time is CM and DevOps. We have invited Erik Hochbergs and Laroy Sjödal who early this year finialized their thesis at LTH, researching Software Configuration Management in a DevOps context.

Don’t miss out on the fourth event 2019 at Ericsson 19/11. The focus will be on knowledge-sharing and you have the opportunity to select your topic preference when you register.  The discussions will be paused for the Ericsson virtual portfolio experience.

The presentations and un-processed results from the event at Electrolux is now available in the Resource section (click on tab “Workshops”).

Some of the ideas captured will be further developed at next CM Forum event, taking place at Ericsson on Nov 19th. Invitation and more info will follow in a few weeks.

The AW on feb 21st attracted participants working at FMV, Ericsson, Syntell, Acando, Front Arena, Veoneer, Electrolux, Advanze and Infinera konsult. A wide range of topics were discussed. See pictures below for thoughts captured by interactive digital support. Other suggestions and tips from the participants:

• The AW should be a reoccurring event
• New seminar/workshop themes: CM in the cloud, CMM – is it still relevant?, CM standards and how to interpret them, the CM role, the business case for CM
• Suggested future host: Electrolux

Meet old and new network participators and facilitators and catch up on the latest trends in the CM community. Reflect and get inspired in the relaxed Scandic Malmen setting and enjoy a brief presentation of CM FORUM’s past, present and future (at approx 17.30 in the separée room).

Smart industry seminar, 2019-04-24 09.00 – 16.00 at Swedish Standard Institute (Torsplan, Stockholm)
CM FORUM supports SIS in organising a one-day event with seminars and workshops focusing on the standardisation of the information aspects that come with Smart industry (IoT, AI, AIDC, big data, industrial automation, smart manufacturing, etc). CM plays a vital role when creating value of the Smart industry technologies and CM FORUM participators will bring the CM perspective to the event.
Registration for this event will be necessary, wait for additional information.
